What is an Argentinian grill?
An Argentinian grill, also known as a parrilla or asado grill, is designed specifically for cooking over live fire. Unlike a conventional gas BBQ, the cooking surface sits above wood or charcoal, allowing food to be cooked with the heat, smoke and flavour of a real fire.
One of the defining features of a traditional parrilla grill is an adjustable cooking grate. The height can be changed to control the cooking temperature, allowing you to sear meat close to the fire or raise the grate for slower cooking.
Argentinian-style grilling is ideal for large cuts of beef, steaks, ribs, sausages, chicken and vegetables, making it perfect for outdoor entertaining.
